Jillian Integrated Resources Limited undertook the supply and installation of solar-powered street lighting in Irri, Delta State, to improve nighttime visibility, enhance security, and support economic activities. The project is part of our sustainable infrastructure drive, aimed at transforming underserved communities through clean energy technology.
Before the intervention, Irri community experienced: Complete darkness after sundown, limiting movement Heightened insecurity and petty crimes at night Disrupted social and commercial activities after daylight Limited access to the power grid, making conventional lighting unfeasible These issues presented a direct need for a sustainable and autonomous lighting solution.
Jillian Integrated Resources deployed a robust network of solar-powered street lights designed to operate independently of the national grid. Our scope of work included: Assessment and strategic mapping of key street corridors Procurement and installation of durable, high-lumen solar LED units Use of tamper-proof poles and theft-resistant designs Community engagement and local workforce participation The result was a well-illuminated community core, extended hours of social and commercial life, and an enhanced sense of safety.
